Promotional Caps Seen in Different Settings

In contrary to the traditional symbol of keeping warmth, hats are now being applied as a kind of modern apparel in our daily life.

Caps are a very versatile item of clothing. They can be used in a variety of situations by a variety of people. They were originally used in the USA by baseball players. The caps are also used to shield the players' eyes from the sun or the rain. Today, the fitted cap is prevalently used by both baseball players and the fans supporting their team and these can be seen on the terraces sporting the team logo etc.

Wearing a cap backwards is often associated with baseball players, specifically, the catcher. The catcher does so to allow better maneuverability when donning all his headgear, such as the face mask. Photographers are also proponents of this practice as it allows them unobstructed use of their cameras.

Golf is another sport where the use of caps is commonplace. The type of cap typically used is a visor, specifically to shade the eyes from the sun while driving or putting. The popular golfer Tiger Woods is commonly seen with a cap bearing a swoosh image, representing his endorsement of Nike.

The cap is commonly associated with casual settings and events. For instance, many students in schools and universities wear promotional caps. However, some of the more conservative institutions who employ strict dress codes prohibit their use. Some teachers do not allow them to be worn during classes. In some public schools, the wearing of baseball caps is strictly prohibited. This is because gang members are known to wear them in a certain direction, perhaps to signify their allegiance to a particular gang.
